25 BEFORE 25

Last week was my 24th birthday and man am I starting to feel old! I was talking to one of my friends the other day and we were saying how old 24 actually sounds. You can no longer get away with calling yourself ‘early twenties’, you’re now ‘mid twenties’ (see the difference there?!). When I was a kid, I had a whole load of things that I wanted to achieve by the time I hit 25 and thinking back on it, most of those things I wouldn’t want now anyway. But there are some things I want to do before I’m 25 and I thought if I wrote them down I might actually get around to doing them. So here goes...
  1. Visit Longleat - Longleat is an animal safari park not too far from where I live, but I’ve never been! Think giraffes, elephants and monkeys people!
  2. Make Macaroons - watch out Laduree I’m coming for you!
  3. Have a Spa Day - I’ve always wanted to have a massage or a facial and living just down the road from Bath Spa it seems like a crime that I haven’t yet got this one checked off my list
  4. Explore the Tower of London - Another thing I’ve wanted to do for quite some time. Sean and I have said we would do it every year for the past couple of years but have just never got around to it
  5. Complete a Photography Course - Whilst my photography has improved since I started this blog, there is still so much to learn and I’d love to do a part time course which would help me develop even more!
  6. Go to New York/Washington DC - This one is definitely being ticked off the list, next month Sean and I are going to book a big get away to the states (Seans first I might add!) and I couldn’t be more excited!
  7. See a Sunset/Sunrise - This one's pretty self-explanatory...
  8. Have a Proper Picnic - maybe I can even take some homemade macaroons. One bird, two stones and all that?
  9. Go to Brighton - Seeing bloggers go to Brighton all the time makes me really want to go and experience it for myself!
  10. Visit Harry Potter Studio Tour - Ok, I admit it..I’m a Harry Potter nerd! I even have a Harry Potter replica wand ;) (cause I’m a cool cat). I’ve been dying to visit the studio tour pretty much ever since it opened. Maybe this year will be the year it finally happens?
  11. Re-read Harry Potter Books - speaking of Harry Potter, I’d love to re-read the whole series! Or just increase my reading in general. There’s nothing better than getting stuck into a good book.
  12. Learn to Crochet - I’m jealous of anyone who can knit or crochet. I’ve tried to learn so many times, but it never sticks! I’ve been told there’s some good YouTubers out there who make it easy to learn so watch this space
  13. Have Afternoon Tea - another self-explanatory one really
  14. Continue to Grow My Blog - I’ve loved posting more on my little space of the web this year and I hope to continue to just write about the things I love
  15. Eat More Veg! - I’m such a fussy eater and I really don’t like veg. But it is good for you so I want to start making more of an effort.
  16. Do More Upcycling - I love the idea of upcycling furniture and totally revamping something old so it looks more modern.
  17. Stick to a Fitness Plan - I go through phases with fitness. One minute I’m really into it and the next not so much. But I want to come up with a consistent fitness plan that is easily achievable
  18. Complete All the Projects in Love At First Stitch - I love this book from Tilly Walnes and I’ve already completed two of the projects. I want to work my way through the book project by project to improve my sewing skills
  19. Own Some Charlotte Olympia Shoes - those kitty faced little beauties will be mine one day...
  20. Buy a House (In a Dream World) - this one is unlikely to happen, but I’m certainly going to use the year to save as much as I can to get myself into the position of being able to buy a house sooner rather than later.
  21. Subscribe to Elle - I’ve been buying Elle every month for 2-3 years now and I recently gave away my stash to the textiles department of my local secondary school. It was only then that I realised I should really get a subscription to save some money...
  22. Cycle More - I bought a bike on the cycle to work scheme earlier in the year, but I’ve only got out on it a handful of times. I have a boyfriend who is nuts about cycling so I want to go out on more rides with him which will help improve my fitness.
  23. Perfect my Buttercream Icing - Can someone help me perfect my cupcake swirls?
  24. Go Camping - I can’t quite believe I saying this but yes I actually want to go camping.
  25. Progress at Work - I’m quite an ambitious person and I really want to use this year to grow and develop myself within my career.

  1. This is such a great list! I made a summer bucket list at the beginning of the summer and we have lots of similar points on both of ours! :) I hope you manage to complete all of yours - I've still got a fair few left to do! Alice xx
