My everyday base layer is not something that I change on a regular basis. Unlike all other make up products, once I've found something that works well in my base layer I tend to stay quite loyal to it. However I have introduced a few new products lately so I thought I'd share with you my current routine.
Benefit Puff Off
I always start my routine of by applying Benefit Puff Off underneath my eyes. I've got quite dark, puffy eyes and they just generally feel very tight and sore in the mornings. But the 'ironing tip' helps to cool and sooth my eyes and also helps to reduce the puffiness in my eyes by a considerable amount, especially after using it constantly for a few days.
Benefit That Gal
I first tried 'That Gal' in duty free at the airport. It was an early morning flight, I had zero make up on and to be honest I had looked better! Unfortunately our flight was delayed so I ended up browsing through the Benefit counter and the lady asked if I wanted to try anything. I was nearly out of primer so I said ok and she tried That Gal on me and I can honestly say just that alone made a massive difference to my skin. The lady said it contains raspberry (I think?!) extracts which helps to brighten and even out the skin tone and it did make a visible difference. I soon purchased it for myself and found not only does it brighten my face and even out my skin tone, but it also actually holds my make up in place all day. It's definitely an under rated product in my eyes.
L'oreal Infallible 24-Hour Matte Foundation
I've already done a full review of this foundation which you can find here so I won't go on about this product for too long. The L'oreal Infallible foundation it is full coverage foundation that doesn't feel to heavy and it really does last all day. My only criticism of it is that it dries the skin on my nose a bit. But thats not very fair as it is for oily skin and my skin type has become very dry lately so that's the problem! Next time I'll be buying the dry skin version so I'll be sure to let you know if it's equally as good.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This is the latest addition to my routine. The Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer claims to have an 'instant anti fatigue effect'. Well I'm not too sure about that (probably because I use Puff Off first!) but it certainly is high coverage and a lot more moisturising than any other concealer I've used. I really wanted a creamy stick concealer and had my eyes on the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer but after finding this little gem I don't think I need to. Now I've got my eyes on the wake me up mascara...
MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural
I've been using MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural for as long as I've been wearing make up. It really is a staple product in my day to day routine. I love how it sets my make up and gives you that air brush effect and I honestly can't imagine using nothing else. And god knows I've tried a whole variety of different powders, but nothing quite comes close to this beauty.
