ASOS GREY SLIM COAT

NEW HAIR CUT - ASOS COAT

Lets get the elephant out of the room here...I HAD MY HAIR CUT! Last Friday I had a good 5 inches cut off my locks and I couldn't feel better for it. Now these photos don't do it justice (damn you wind!) but it looks and feels so much more healthier and get this...it only took me 10 minutes to do my hair yesterday!

However, getting my hair cut wasn't something I took lightly. Oh no! I've been debating this decision for months and after agonising to my friends countless times (I started to feel sorry for them in the end) I finally took the plunge. I do have a few tips for you if you are planning on cutting yours cut.

  1. Don't do it on a whim - Like I said this is a decision I've been thinking about for a long time, weighing up all the pros and cons and I'm happy I did this. I know a few people who have decided to take the plunge out of the blue and have totally regretted it. And whilst your hair will grow back, it won't happen overnight!
  2. Remember you will need to have it cut more often - shorter hair requires slightly more maintenance and for someone like me who goes to the hairdressers every 6 months of so, this is going to be a big change
  3. Think about your lifestyle - do you have the extra time in the mornings to style your hair? If you don't, then going too short could be a mistake for you if your anything like me and want to put your hair in a ponytail every morning. That was my number one rule, I want it short but still able to sling it back when I feel like it
  4. Have real expectations - if your taking a picture of a celebrity into the hairdressers with you like I did (it was Taylor Swift FYI) then remember you might not come out looking exactly like her
Anyway lets get back to the outfit...I haven't stopped wearing this coat since it was gifted to me by Sean for Christmas. For someone who has never really been much of a coat person, I sure have built up quite the collection over this winter. But I need a coat in every colour...am I right? Also, what do you all think of Toms? I personally think they are the ugliest shoes going, but my god I love them. They are so comfortable that come summer you probably won't see an outfit post without me wearing them. As you can tell by my white feet, it is far to cold to be wearing them for now (insert sad face here).
