DATE NIGHT MAKE UP

DATE NIGHT MAKE UP TUTORIAL

Woaaaaaah, where did January go?! It's hard to believe that in less than a week we will be in the middle of February and getting ready to celebrate the holiday that everyone loves to hate on - Valentines day. Now, whilst I personally look forward to pancake day more (17th Feb - put it in your diaries folks!), any excuse to spend time with the one you love - be it lover, friend or family - is ok by me! So to celebrate, I've got 3 valentines day themed posts coming up this week starting with a date night make up look...

BASE

The first thing you want to do is apply your base as you normally would. For me, this means starting with a primer and I am currently using Loreal Paris Smoothing Resurfacing Primer. Then apply your foundation to even out your skin tone. I use 2 thirds Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation and 1 third Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator. I find this gives my skin a slight glow which is exactly what you want for a date night look. Make sure you really buff this in so it blends well into your skin. Last but not least, you want to cover any of those pesky bags under your eyes so apply a brightening concealer - I use Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer

EYES

Now lets start on the eyes. I started by priming my eyes with MACs Paint Pot in Painterly to ensure my eyeshadows stays on all night. Then I used Charlotte Tilburys Eye Shadow Quad in Uptown Girl. Sweep the shade in the top left conner all over the lids of your eyes. Now use a fluffy brush and take the shade in the top right corner to the outer corners of your eyes and in the crease. I also used a small brush to bring this underneath my eyes slightly to give a smokey look. Line your eyes using liquid eyeliner and apply mascara to your eyes. I can't get enough of Maybellines Lash Sensational Mascara at the moment, what can I say it does exactly what it says on the tin!

LIPS

Now for the best part! I lined my lips with MAC Lip Pencil in Beet and then filled the colour in. Then I took MACs Lipstick in Love Goddess (Sorry guys, it was limited edition!) and went over my lips to give that pop or pink colour and voilĂ  your done!
