My last outfit post from my trip to London *insert sad face here*. We had lots planned for today including a trip to the Bond in Motion exhibition and, of course, some shopping, and I had the perfect footwear choice up my sleeve.

BRIGHT LIGHTS AND THE BIG CITY

Oh London, how I love thee! The city is literally my heaven, I love the hustle and bustle and coming from a small town which doesn't have much going on, I'm always craving different things to do. I've been fortunate enough to visit quite a few cities in my time, but my favourite will always be our home capital. Sean and I decided to stay in London for the night for the first time and whilst we were there we went out for dinner and drinks (more on that soon).

OLDIE BUT GOODIE

If you're an avid reader of All About Clair, you may recall this post where I've already featured this gorgeous Topshop Camel Coat. Now whilst in the year that's passed the photography has certainly improved and about 5 inches of hair has been chopped off, my love for this coat has not wavered one little bit and I was so excited for its return a couple of weeks ago.

STYLE: MANGO TRENCH COAT

How to wear a trench coat

A classic trench coat like this never goes out of style, it's one of those timeless and versatile pieces that you can wear in oh so many ways. But believe it or not, this is actually my first ever trench coat! I've been admiring from a far over the past few years, until I saw this little beauty at the airport on my way back from holiday a few months ago. Yes, it seems that purchasing a coat was the only way to come to terms with the fact that summer was over for me...

STYLE: TED & MUFFY OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

Pretty Woman?

Over the knee boots are everywhere at the moment. Seriously. I have wanted to join the revolution for such a long time now, so when I was invited to select a pair of boots by Ted & Muffy at the Bath store relaunch, I knew that's what I had to choose (although I did toy with the idea of these beauties briefly)

BEAUTY: BOBBI BROWN GREIGE PALETTE

BOBBI BROWN GREIGE PALETTE REVIEW

I must admit I'm quite a fan of Bobbi Brown seasonal makeup collections. I'm particularly a sucker for the eye shadow palettes and after missing out on their Surf and Sand palettes last year, I was determined not to make that mistake twice. Enter the Bobbi Brown Greige palette which caught my eye in John Lewis back in September. I deliberated whether to buy this palette for a few weeks and after day dreaming about it for so long, I decided to make the plunge and last week when it turned up on my doorstep, I had no regrets.

How to wear black leather ankle boots

There are 2 things that I buy every Autumn without a doubt and that's a new coat (more to come on that one) and a new pair of boots, it's tradition after all! I bought a pair of Dune Chelsea boots from Dune a couple of years ago and they lasted 2 whole years before going to shoe heaven! With that in mind, Dune has always been my first port of call in my boot search quest.

DIY: LIP SCRUB

How to make your own lip scrub

In one of my recent posts on how to avoid dry skin in the winter, I talked about how important it is to carry a lip balm around with you and constantly top up. What I didn't tell you though was that there's another step I use to keep that dry skin at bay and that's to use a scrub to exfoliate your lips before applying a balm.

Nail polish has long been my favourite beauty item, it's not too often you'll see me without some colour on my nails (albeit maybe chipped or picked at, bad beauty blogger!). RECIPE: SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIES

When I was at the Handmade Fair a few weeks ago (more to come on this soon!), there was a lovely stall called Frandie Macaron which sold, yes you guessed it...macarons! I was instantly attracted to it of course but the thing that intrigued me most was the sauces they sold called Gloop! There were 4 flavours to choose from but, of course, I had to go for the salted caramel version which is what brings us to this recipe! I've wanted to make salted caramel brownies for a while, ever since a friend of mine called Charlotte brought some A-Mazing ones into work one day and I finally got to try them out!

BEAUTY: HOW TO AVOID DRY SKIN THIS WINTER

Outside, the temperature really started to drop at the weekend and whilst I'm praying we've not seen the last of the sun just yet, I am starting to prepare for the dry skin that comes as a result of that colder weather. I think I've said it so many times on this blog but I really do have horribly dry skin. It's taken me quite some time but I've finally found some amazing products and got myself into a great routine that really helps.

BEAUTY: STROBING

How to do strobing

Watch out contouring!

Strobing is that buzz word that's been thrown around a lot this year and whilst it seems to be new on the beauty block, the idea has actually been around for a long time. Strobing is the idea of using a highlighter to emphasise the high points of your face like your cheek bones or the bridge of your nose.

Everyone has one of these pashminas in the back of their wardrobe, I actually have 3 but who's counting! I've not worn them in such a long time as I have so many pretty patterned ones which always attract me first, so I decided to do something about it...

After a week of summery outfits, it's time to say goodbye to bare legs and short shorts and hello to autumnal fashion. So this is my last holiday post which makes me sad as this means it's definitely over now and it's time to start thinking about Christmas and winter wardrobes (sobs). But I saved one of the best for last! Sean and I were lucky enough to have a cheeky win on the bingo at our hotel one night (who doesn't love a good game of bingo aye?!) so we decided to use our winnings to get a taxi to one of the smaller beaches in Majorca which had been recommended to us because it was so beautiful, and they weren't wrong...

Welcome to outfit number 2 from my recent holiday to Majorca! On this day, we decided it would be a good idea to rent some bikes to get out and explore the area. We ended up finding the sea which, as you can tell by the photos, was b-e-a-utiful and so clear. The only downside was you had to go down a particularly steep hill and then climb down a cliff of rocks to actually get to it, which let me tell you with bikes is not all that fun but totally worth it!

25 BEFORE 25

Last week was my 24th birthday and man am I starting to feel old! I was talking to one of my friends the other day and we were saying how old 24 actually sounds. You can no longer get away with calling yourself ‘early twenties’, you’re now ‘mid twenties’ (see the difference there?!). When I was a kid, I had a whole load of things that I wanted to achieve by the time I hit 25 and thinking back on it, most of those things I wouldn’t want now anyway. But there are some things I want to do before I’m 25 and I thought if I wrote them down I might actually get around to doing them. So here goes...

RECIPE: SWISS ROLL

RECIPE: SWISS ROLL

It’s been a while since I posted a recipe on the blog but with the return of the Great British Bake Off on BBC, my baking fever is higher than ever. Even to the point where we’ve started to do a mini GBBO in the office at work and here is my first creation - a classic swiss roll. I was quite surprised how well it actually went. I remember at school making a swiss roll that cracked as soon as I started to roll. But I think being patient and allowing the cake to cool properly paid off and I’m super chuffed with the result (even if  could have done with some more jam!).

how to wear swing dress

Sean and I had a date night last week and I thought I'd take the opportunity to take a few cheeky snaps of what I wore for the evening. I actually choose to wear this beautiful River Island swing dress which I bought via ASOS and was perfect for the occasion. The only downside is that the slip underneath the dress does ride up (#bigbootyproblems), meaning I spent half the night pulling it back down. But hey it's worth it. I paired the dress with an old River Island lace box clutch bag I often steal from my mum and I had photographed my beach waves advice post in the morning (see they do last all day!), so it was easy peasy to get ready.
