Coat: Topshop | Top: Mango | Trousers: River Island | Shoes: ASOS | Bag: Monki | Bangles: Pia

Since my last outfit post, the clocks have gone back the nights have drawn in and it's becoming increasingly difficult for someone who works full time to take outfit photos afterwork (hence the extremely pixelated photos). But I'm hoping you can look past that on this occasion as I would hate for any attention to be taken away from this coat of dreams.

The camel coat is one of those iconic pieces of clothing that everyone wants but doesn't know how to wear. I felt exactly the same but nevertheless after a bit of pinteresting I was soon full of inspiration and this caramel-hued Topshop coat is my new baby. Paired with these fab River Island printed trousers and THE most comfortable ASOS loafers known to man (no, really!), no coat has ever made me feel so classy or elegant. So move over Parka, theres a new coat in town.

HALLOWEEN SPIDER WEB NAILS

HALLOWEEN SPIDER WEB NAILS

Halloween is fast approaching and whilst not everyone likes to dress up in a full costume, you can always get into the halloween spirit with some spooky nails. This is a super easy DIY with some colours that you probably already have at home, all you need is black, silver and clear for the base and top coat. I'll be sporting these nails whilst dressed as a female version of Jigsaw if all goes according to plan (photos of that to follow)

- I started by giving myself a mini manicure - push your cuticles down with a pusher (if you have a cutter you can remove them altogether) and buff your nails slightly with a nail file
- Paint your nails with your favourite base coat. I simply used a Barry M clear polish
- Next, paint your nails with two thin coats of black until you have a smooth opaque finish
- Take your thin brush and dip it into your silver polish. You guessed it, I used another Barry M polish, this time it was there Silver foil edition. Paint three thin lines that come from the corner of the nail. Do this for all nails, changing which corner you start in and allow to dry.
- Once dry, connect those lines with little 'u' like lines (something I didn't do a great job at this time). You should now see the spider web starting to take shape. I have little nails so did two rows of 'u's on each finger except my thumb.
- Lastly,  apply a top coat to keep your design in tact.

P.s. Excuse the bad photo, my camera battery died and I really wanted to share these nails with you.

DIY TASSEL EARRINGS

Do you ever find something you want to buy but theres that niggly little feeling that you could make it yourself just as nice? I get that a lot and whilst most of the time the convenience of being able to buy something at the click of a button gets the better of me, this is one time I didn't cave in. After recently perusing the jewellery section of ASOS (a regular occurrence at the moment let me tell you!) I found these earrings and fell in love. I decided to give it a bash at making them myself and whilst the end product is quite different to the original I'm more than happy with result. So without further ado (because this introduction has been far to long already), heres how you make them...

You will need

2 x tassels in a colour of your choice with jump rings attached
2 x large daisy charms
2 x small daisy charms
2 x earring findings
2 x thick jump rings
8 x small jump rings

Instructions

- Make your tassels for the bottom of your earrings. To do this I followed the instructions here.
- Gather all your materials and place it all in order so you know exactly what your earring is going to look like.
- Use some flat nosed pliers to open the jump ring attached to your tassel. Hook the tassel to your smaller flower and then close the jump ring. You now have the bottom of your earring!
- Follow this process of using jump rings to attach all of your parts together right to the top of the earring and you're done! How easy was that aye?!

Kimono: BP. Clothing | Vest: Dorothy Perkins | Jeans: Topshop | Shoes: New Look | Hat: Topshop | Necklace: Forever 21

If you wind back a few weeks you will remember a time when you didn't need to be a duck to go outside. Thats when these photos were taken. Since then we've had non stop rain and boy does it look depressing outside. I know, I know typical Brit...always moaning about the weather.

I brought this beautiful BP Clothing Kimono earlier in the year when I was in America. I've never heard of the brand before but I found it tucked in a corner in Nordstrom. Ever since then, it's been pretty much my go to cover up. I love to wear this paired with some trusty skinny jeans and my favourite New Look mules (probably because they're the only heels I look like I can walk properly in). I suppose I'll have to exchange this for a blanket wrap soon though once the weather truly sets in, but until then I'm sure as hell gunna make the most of this little beauty!

P.S. Excuse my horrendously creased top, what messy pup!
