Ok, ok so I'm a bit late on this one but I really wanted to share with you a few things that I have been loving all throughout July. Firstly a few beauty bits. I bought my normal Elle magazine a few months ago and it had a sample of the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray in it and I just threw it in my beauty draws. Fast forward a few months and I can't believe I haven't used it sooner. A few sprays of this in my damp hair and I find that my hair is definitely fuller and holds its shape better. I even find it easier to restyle on second day hair than I did before. I'm definitely converted.
Speaking of converted, who would of thought that someone as pale as me would wear orange blush? But this MAC blush in Melba has become my go to blush. I love how subtle it is although it can be built on for a more stand out colour.
Last for beauty are these Barry M nail polishes in Huckleberry, Almond and Prickly Pear. Clearly stand out colours have not been a thing of mine as if late but hey pastels are in this summer!
Now onto some non beauty related items. This shirt from ASOS has definitely been my go to top of choice. I love how oversized it is making it perfect to wear when your going out for a meal (what can I say, I'm a girl who loves bread!). Also, if you haven't noticed from this post and this post, these black sliders have been firmly stuck on my feet for the past month. Even though we've fallen out a few times (meaning I've had some horrendous blisters) they've finally been broken in and now they're one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I own.
I've wanted to try making something that I would wear for a long time and Love at First Stitch by Tilly Wales (you might recognise her from the first season of the Great British Sewing Bee) has given me the confidence to get going. So far I've completed a pair of pyjama bottoms and a little a line skirt (more of this to come) and now there's no turning back. But it's all well and good having these clothes, but if I can't style them, there's no point having them. Step in Parisian Chic by Ines de la Fressange. This has been another source of inspiration for me in skating up how I wear my clothes. I've also discovered the TV show, This Old Thing and is now a firm favourite. It's really inspired me to shop vintage more and try and DIY some of my old clothes into something sparkly and new.
Last and by no means least this totally cute list pad from Paperchase is my new way of keeping organised. I'm a bit of a freak for making lists (seriously, I write to do lists for lists I have to make!) and having a place to store all my lists in a place I can see is going to really help keep me and this blog organised (I hope!). And I need a snack whilst writing my lists and my new favourite chocolate bar (thats a hard thing for me to say seeing as I'm a die hard chocoholic) is the Cadbury Dairy Milk Lu. I could eat these little things all day. I'm actually going to eat this one right now....
