The weather turned quite chilly yesterday so I pulled out the fluffiest cardigan I could find (which went everywhere I might add). This H&M number was part of last years Lana Del Rey collection and perfectly fits the A/W13 trend of pastels this year. I went to the pub with a friend yesterday evening so I paired it with an old vest top and these paisley print taper trousers from the new Petite section in New Look. They are so comfortable but they gave an edge to the outfit and prevented me looking like an old cat lady in the cardigan!
I have a love hate relationship with winter. I really struggle with style in winter because all I want to do is get all cosy with a thick knitted jumper. All day, everyday! However, I do look forward to buying a new coat every year (and boots but thats for another time). The thicker and woolier the better in my eyes. I would love to invest into the baby pink coat trend this year, but I worry I wont get enough wear out of it. What a boring thing to think about aye! But whatever coat I end up with I hope it is as beautiful as the ones above.
On a day to day basis I am not a big fan of small bags, there's something comforting about having pretty much your whole life in one bag which normally means I carry round large bags (and get a bad back, oops!). But I must say I am totally in love with this beautiful little mini satchel from River Island. I've had to cut the contents of my bag down a little but boy is it worth it!
This October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and one of my favourite things about the month is the Shop Pink programme where The Breast Cancer Research Foundation partners with some of you beloved brands to produce limited edition packs of your favourite products. Every purchase you make donates a percentage of the money to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to help fight against cancer.
Lots of beauty brands are getting involved this year making it the biggest year yet! From Bobbi Brown to Clinique there are so many options, I expect you will struggle to find a product that you don't use on a daily basis. I've listed my 5 favourites above :)
Is there a product you've been after for a while but have umm'd and ahh'd until now? I have been lusting after the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer for quite some time now and the fact that every special edition pack will now donate £5 to this great cause has just given me the push I needed. We all like to treat ourselves so whey not treat yourself whilst helping someone else? I know I will!
Will you buy any of the special Breast Cancer products?
After seeing this little number on the lovely Charissa I decided it needed to be a new purchase for my new wardrobe. Another set of friends of mine are going travelling for a few years (was it something I said?) and last night was their leaving party so I thought it would be the perfect occasion to wear this Miss Guided dress. It really is so versatile, it can be styled for a casual day with flats or dressed up more for the evening. Oh and I love the colour, it is so striking and eye catching and I had comments on it all evening
I definitely feel like a librarian wearing this dress, but do you know what? I love it! This woollen dress has been perfect for this transitional weather we have been having in the UK, it keeps you warm but cool at the same time. Anyway, I'm back to uni now and this is the outfit I wore yesterday. I love to be comfortable, there's nothing worse than not feeling comfortable when you have to sit in a two hour lecture. Now I'm in my third year we're expected to do so much more independent work. But with only 5 teaching hours I week I do often wonder what I pay my tuition fees for... but thats for another day!
